HOW
TO ENTER
Entries
may be submitted online only from 1st - 31st March
2010 following a simple payment process. Please
read the Rules here.

non-credit card holders, see below)
PROCEDURE
FOR ONLINE CREDIT CARD PAYMENT
(Click
on either PAYMENT A or B link to begin)
STEP
1
Submit the requisite entry fee via our secure online
payment servers by credit card. Payment may be made
EITHER via
- PAYMENT
A link using PayPal Online Secure
system
or
- Upon
payment you will be automatically directed to
the ENTRY FORM & UPLOAD page. This may take
a short while depending on your internet connection.
Please make a note of your payment approval code
which you will need.
STEP
2
Enter personal details online via the ENTRY FORM
& UPLOAD page,
upload images to the pre-determined file size and
dimensions (see above i ~ iv)
- You
will be directed to a Thank You page upon a successful
upload.

PORTRAIT
INDIVIDUAL CATEGORY : USD$10 per image (no minimum,
maximum 8 images)
PORTRAIT
STORY CATEGORY : USD$50 per
series (minimum of 5, maximum of 8
images)
- Preparation
of images for submission :
i. 1000 pixels on the longest dimension, save
at 72dpi and approximately 250kb per image file.
Please verify your file size. (Please DO NOT upload
files straight from your camera, they will be
too large. Reduce it to a maximum of 250kb each
with an image editing program.)
- ii.
Files to be saved as jpg format, compression High
/ Adobe Photoshop quality 8 or above.
- iii.
Files must follow the naming sequence aaa.bbbb.nn.jpg
where, aaa
is your surname; bbbb is your initials; nn is
the number of the entry, up to 8 images per entrant.
Please follow this naming process, otherwise your
files may not upload. Do not leave a space or
use symbols like -, &, +, _ etc in your filenames.

Images must NOT contain any of the following:
film borders, rebates or key line of any kind,
entrant’s
names or initials, watermarks or copyright
symbols.
PROCEDURE
FOR MANUAL NON-CREDIT CARD PAYMENT
(A
valid email address is required)
Entrant
makes payment by direct bank transfer/bank-in into
the provided account below.

Please use conversion : 1 USD=MYR3.50
- b.
Entrant faxes or emails a copy of the banking slip
to us with the following required details, with
the subject header KLPHOTOAWARDS CASH ENTRY:

- If
entering a series, please include your series
title and 250 word narrative.

Time Out KL will confirm the amount in their account,
and you will receive an email with your unique User
Name and Password. This will normally take 2 and
3 working days for cash and cheque deposits, respectively.

The KLPA User account is then created to upload
your photo/s online.
