Smita is a regular guest at international photo events as speaker, workshop mentor and portfolio reviewer. Her book We Cry In Silence won the POY International Award of Excellence and the 2023 Lucie Photo Book Prize.

Finding your own path
Join documentary photographers Sanjit Das and Suzanne Lee for an open
and practical conversational based workshop about what it really takes to build a life around photography. With more than 25 years of experience between them, including working in documentary, editorial and commercial photography, photo editing, filmmaking and education, Sanjit and Suzanne have seen the industry change from many different sides. The workshop will be informal and interactive, with plenty of time for questions, discussions and an open exchange about the realities of working as a photographer today.
